nmzmail software package provides indexes and searches email in maildir folders, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nmzmail
nmzmail is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nmzmail package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nmzmail *
You will get with nmzmail package name, version, architecture and description in a table
